Important: Please consider before booking and paying for any flight. When booking flight, travelers must arrive in Padang City Minangkabau International Airport (PDG) either on Monday, Wednesday, Friday. Fast boat services to Siberut island operating three times a week on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday and back on the same days. Departing early morning at Muara Padang harbor at 07:00 Am and the trip takes up to 5 hours including 1 transit to the north island of Siberut before continue to the south island of Siberut.

 

Except on Thursday Mentawai fast boat leaves directly to Siberut island then the trip takes up to 4 hours.

 

Travelers must arrive at the harbor one hour before. Fast boat tickets can be purchased at the Mentawai fast boat office a day before (2 pm -5 pm).

 

All travelers begin their first trip to the city of Padang in West Sumatra Province. There are wide range of airlines well connected you can choose from to this city. Your flight destination is Padang Minangkabau Internationl Airport (PDG). Padang can be reached conveniently from Kuala Lumpur, in Malaysia and Jakarta daily flights.

 

For schedules of flight and what the airlines are on the way back, It’s suggested to check in Padang and for hotel options in Padang city it's suggested to check first before you arrive. We recommend to book hotel close to the Mentawai fast boat harbor.

 

Due to the Fast boat schedules to Mentawai Islands, travelers must spend the first and last night in Padang city.
